Web Hosting, you will need to modify your nameservers
so that they point to our servers. We will
advise of the nameservers during the signup

yearly fee. Due to ICANN regulations, IP addresses
are limited and they do require that you provide

it take for my account to be activated once
I sign up? [top]
Within hours! Docu-Type Web Hosting offers speedy account
activation. Once your order has been received,
your account is setup and a welcome
letter is sent to the email address you provided
on the order form. You can then start uploading
your files. Your domain name may take up 24-72 hours
to resolve but you can always reach your website
using the servername and username mentioned
in your welcome letter or
via ftp using the server name and username.

with another company, how can I transfer
my site to you without experiencing any "downtime". [top]
To avoid downtime when moving your site to Docu-Type Web
Hosting's servers, please follow these steps:
1) Sign up for your new account by sending
us an email.
We will email you a "welcome" letter which will
include your login so that you can upload your files
to our server.
2) After you've uploaded your files, contact your domain
name registrar and request that your nameservers be
changed so that they point to our servers. You can
find the DNS nameserver details in your Welcome letter.
3) Once you have updated the nameservers for your domain,
you can expect a wait of approximately 24-48 hours
for your registrar to update their DNS. Once it's updated,
your domain name will point to your website that you
have on the Docu-Type Web Hosting servers.
4) After you confirm that your website is pointed to
Docu-Type Web Hosting's servers you may go ahead and
cancel your account with your previous hosting company.
We do NOT recommend cancelling your account until you
have made sure that your domain is pointing to our
servers. This will insure that you have no downtime
or loss of email, etc.

policy on SPAM? [top]
Docu-Type Web Hosting is committed to a zero-tolerance,
anti-spamming policy. Sending unsolicited
bulk and/or commercial messages over the
Internet (known as "spamming") is prohibited,
regardless of whether or not it overloads a server
or disrupts service to Docu-Type Web Hosting's
customers. The term "spamming" also
includes, but is not limited to, maintaining an open
SMTP policy, engaging in spamming using the service
of another ISP or IPP and referencing in the spam
a web site hosted on a Docu-Type Web Hosting
server, and selling or distributing software
(on a web site residing on a Docu-Type Web
Hosting server) that facilitates spamming.
Violators will be assessed a minimum fine
of $200 and will face immediate suspension. Docu-Type
Web Hosting reserves the right to determine, in its
sole and absolute discretion, what constitutes a
violation of this provision.

- Why don't you
offer "unlimited bandwidth"? [top]
There is no such thing as unlimited bandwidth. Any company
that promises you unlimited bandwidth is counting on
the fact that you will not use it, and if you
do they will quickly find ways of either forcing
you to pay for it, or restricting your site.
Most of these hosts have a clause in their
policies regarding "excessive usage of system
resources" or something to that effect to cover themselves.
Docu-Type Web Hosting offers a very generous amount
of bandwidth with our hosting plans and if you do happen
to go over, the overage fees are lower than the
industry standard.
