Yes, you may register your domain name with any registrar
that you choose. You just need to make sure that your domain
name records reflect Docu-Type Web Hosting's nameservers.

- How long until

available and what is propagation? [top]
A. It takes approximately 24-48 and sometimes up to 72
hours for the domain name registration to propagate throughout
the internet.
Propagation: When a visitor types your domain name into
their Web browser, their request is referred to a nameserver
that indicates the physical location (the IP address) of
your domain on the Internet. When your site location changes
to a new IP address, or when a new domain name is added,
nameservers around the world must be notified of the change.
This process is referred to as propagation. Propagation
normally requires 12-48 hours.

- What is a Sub-Domain? [top]
A subdomain, also known as a "third-level" domain, resides
under your top-level domain name, but behaves as a totally
independent domain. For instance, support.herwebhosting.com
or http://subdomain.domain.com/.

- What is domain

Parked domain names are domain names that point to an
existing domain name. They do not use any disc space they

- Will you register
my domain name or me and if so, how much does

We can help you by registering your domain name (.com,
.net, .org, .info, .biz, .us, .ws, etc.). We
can also help Canadians register for a .ca
domain with a designated registrar in Canada.
Billing for domain .ca registration will come
directly from the registrar as opposed to Docu-Type
billing you. We
do not directly supply domain names.
